The ultimate guide to pairing Corner 103 with your holiday feast

Happy Holidays! We're so excited about the holidays here at Corner 103, especially because we get to share the holidays with our amazing Wine Society members, friends, and family.

Like many of you, we look forward to all the festivities that the holidays bring about: colorful holiday lights, gift giving, and enjoying time with those we love around the dinner table amazing food.

And of course, a holiday meal would not be complete without delicious wine, specifically Corner 103 wine.

We know Corner 103 Wine Society members and patrons value the right wine paired with the right meal, food and wine pairings are a key component to our tasting room wine experiences. Since the holidays have started, we've been fielding your questions via email, phone and in-person regarding the perfect pairings for your holiday meals.

Your questions inspired us to explore the right pairings with our Thanksgiving meals, which cultivated in developing this, your ultimate guide to pairing Corner 103 wines with your holiday feast.

Corner 103 Holiday Guide

Our top four favorite 2016 holiday entertaining tips

Since the holidays have started and we’ve been fielding numerous questions regarding the perfect pairing for your holiday meals. As a result, we have created a guide to answer your questions.

  1.  Don’t let the stress of the day take away your joy! Everything will turn out well!
  2.  Start your party prep as early as possible.
  3.  Learn to delegate. You can’t do it alone. Sharing will bring joy to everyone!
  4.  Don’t worry if you don’t have a complete set of tableware. Mixing sizes and patterns will bring visual interest to your table.

Guest arrival - Corner 103 Sparkling Rosé

Regulars at our tasting room will find little surprise in our wine selection for guest arrival: our award-winning Sparkling Rosé. This is the first wine we serve when you visit our tasting room! This bright and beautiful sparkler makes for a festive welcome, especially when guests' palates are clean.

Appetizers - Corner 103 2015 Sauvignon Blanc

One of our favorite, easy to drink white wines, our 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from Sonoma Valley is a bright, crisp wine that will please any palate. It pairs perfectly with smoked meats, crudité platters, cheese, light salads and oysters. Keep a few bottles on ice during dinner, too, as it will be a nice wine for cream-based soups and Dungeness crab.

The main course - Corner 103 2012 Zinfandel & 2013 Pinot Noir

Our 2012 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel and 2013 Russian River Pinot Noir are two perfect red wines for the main course, whether it's turkey or prime rib. The rich, ripeness of our Zinfandel complements the deep savoury flavors of roasted turkey, spiced-infused stuffing, and delicious fresh mushrooms. Our Pinot Noir is also a perfect partner for juicy ham and succulent prime rib. Its delicate, floral and red berry notes also make it a great partner for cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and green vegetables.

Dessert -  Corner 103 2013 Chardonnay & 2012 Merlot

For the finale, offer guests two delicious options for their pies, puddings and cakes, specifically our 2013 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay and 2012 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. Our rich, well-balanced Chardonnay is a great pairing for classic pumpkin pie. With the right amount of oak and a touch of acid, it cuts through rich pumpkin flavors. Finally, our Zinfandel is one of our favorites to pair with delicious chocolate and berry cakes and pies, or elegant desserts such as poached pears.

Now that your mouth is watering, be sure to order your Corner 103 wines by December 12 for Christmas and Hanukkah and December 15 for New Year's Eve ground shipping. And of course, you can always contact us for more information on two-day and overnight shipping options - or to ask questions about food pairings for your own special holiday menu.

We look forward to seeing your photos on social media of your holiday festivities and to celebrating the holidays with you at our tasting room. Happy Holidays!

crows the excited tween, Michael Jarrah, on Twitter in the 9-2nd clip. Kim Kardashian ft Ray J dvd - find on this way. Let's remember that there is no such issue as a boring day in when the cameras are filming for Retaining Up With The Kardashians.
