2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Sonoma Valley
Our 2015 award winning 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted from a few select rows from a mountain vineyard in the historic Sonoma Valley. This vineyard is 50 years old and is at an elevaton of 1,800 feet in Nuns Cayon. This wine has a deep dark garnet color. It is dense, aromatic, layered and explodes from the glass with aromas and flavors of concentrated blackberry, cassis, blackberry, plum and black cherry. Subtle hints of oak add spice and structure to this intense full bodied wine. Only 381 cases were produced.
The grapes were harvested on October 25, 2013 and the wine was bottled on May 29, 2015. It spent 18 months in barrel of which 33% was new French Oak.
This wine received 91 points from Wine Enthusiast; a Gold Medal & Cellar Selection from Tastings.com; anda Bronze Medal in the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
