2017 Rosé of Pinot Noir, Sonoma Coast
"Summertime in a glass," is how Corner 103's Lloyd Davis describes our first rosé! Our 2017 Rosé of Pinot Noir is produced from an acclaimed pinot vineyard mere miles from our downtown tasting room, in the Sonoma Coast winegrowing region. The saignée method is to thank for the stunning salmon color of this wine. During fermentation, about 10% of the pinot noir grape juice is bled off, increasing the ratio of skin contact with the remaining juice and producing a stunning color with a bold flavor.
Strawberries and cream abound on both the nose and the flavor. Even better, it's bottled with a screw cap, ensuring easy access to "rosé all day" poolside, oceanside, fireside.... you get the picture. Only a mere 56 cases of this wine were produced, so grab it while you can.
